HabitXP Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how HabitXP (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) treats your data when you use the HabitXP mobile application on iOS or Android and this website.

Unlike most modern apps, HabitXP does not require an account, does not require a login or signup, does not ask for your name or email, and does not maintain a central cloud database of your habits. We do not sell personal data, profile your behavior, or run advertising trackers.

2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

HabitXP is designed as an offline-first application:

• Your habit titles, descriptions, categories, and custom icons
• Your daily completion history, streak counters, and heatmaps
• Your reminder preferences and notification schedules
• Your customized color themes and interface settings

All of this information is stored locally in the secure storage on your mobile device. We do not operate a remote server that synchronizes or accesses your habit entries. If you are offline, HabitXP works uninterrupted.

3. Purchase and Subscription Processing

HabitXP is free to download and use. We offer optional Premium functionality for users who wish to unlock additional customization and features.

Because purchases exist, we do not claim that zero data is ever processed. However, HabitXP does not collect or store your credit card, bank details, billing address, or payment credentials:

• Apple App Store & Google Play: The actual monetary transaction is handled entirely by Apple (on iOS) or Google (on Android). Their respective payment terms and privacy policies govern your payment information.
• RevenueCat: We utilize RevenueCat to manage and validate in-app purchases and subscription entitlements. When you purchase or restore Premium, RevenueCat generates an anonymous app user identifier and validates receipt tokens to ensure your device receives the purchased entitlements.

4. Third-Party Services

HabitXP keeps third-party dependencies strictly minimal:

• We do not use Firebase Crashlytics.
• We do not collect crash analytics or telemetry logs.
• We do not use advertising SDKs (no Google AdMob, Unity, Meta Ads, or similar networks).
• We do not have social media integrations, social logins, or public profile shares.
• We do not have widgets or background location trackers.

5. Website Usage

This marketing website is a static informational site. It does not set tracking cookies, does not collect personal identifiers, and does not require account login. Standard server access logs (such as IP address and user-agent) may be recorded temporarily by our hosting infrastructure strictly for operational security and service uptime.

6. Data Retention & Backups

Because your habit data is stored on your device, you maintain complete custody:

• Local Retention: Your habits remain on your device until you delete individual habits or uninstall the application.
• User-Initiated Backups: Any backup, export, or transfer of habit data is initiated explicitly by you (for example, via system-level device backups or manual file export). We do not automatically upload backups to our servers.

7. Data Security

Your local habit records rely on the sandboxed storage and operating system protections of your device (iOS Data Protection and Android Keystore/App Sandbox). We encourage you to keep your mobile operating system updated and protect your physical device with a passcode or biometrics.

8. Children's Privacy

HabitXP is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children. Because our application does not collect personal identification data, no children's personal profiles are gathered or maintained.

9. International Processing

Your habit data stays on your local device regardless of where you travel in the world. Any subscription entitlement checks conducted via RevenueCat or app store transactions are processed through global CDN infrastructure in accordance with their respective privacy disclosures.

10. Your Rights

Under global data protection regulations (including GDPR, CCPA, and similar frameworks), you retain rights regarding your personal information:

• Right to Access & Portability: You have immediate direct access to all habit entries right within the app interface.
• Right to Deletion: You can delete any individual habit or clear all local app data by uninstalling the application.
• Right to Restrict Processing: Because we do not run tracking analytics, marketing profilers, or sell your data, no opt-out mechanisms for data brokers are required.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements or architectural updates to HabitXP. Any updates will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
